Porsche Design Studio Unveils First 3D Printed MTRX Sneaker

In addition to his dream of creating the perfect sports car, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche also focused on creating a lifestyle that reflected his DNA through a luxury product line. Porsche Design is proud to partner with PUMA's racing experts to continue this tradition through their latest shoe line. The new Porsche Design 3D MTRX sports shoes feature the brand's first innovative 3D sole design made using a 3D printer.

The use of super-light high-quality carbon fiber is inspired by the materials used by Porsche in designing their high-performance sports cars. Each sports shoe is available in black and white, and features a structure made from elastic high-quality materials that provide enhanced performance and durability whether you're behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT or a 911 GT3 RS.

Puma has launched its latest collaboration, which includes a technological innovation targeted at the sportswear brand. The company is partnering with Porsche Design to develop the 3D Mtrx sports shoe featuring a 3D-printed midsole design. This shoe marks the first time both brands have used 3D printing to design the midsole of a sports shoe.

The midsole design is inspired by the brand's logo from Porsche Design, and Puma claims that it is made of high-end elastic material that has better performance and durability compared to foam midsoles.

The brand states that the shoe's sole can save the wearer up to 83% of vertical energy, which will help improve their performance.

The 3D Mtrx sports shoe is the latest collaboration by both brands. Earlier this year, Puma launched its first range designed by June Ambrose and worked with Palomo Spain to create a surf-inspired line. On the other hand, Porsche has a long-standing partnership with FaZe Clan and collaborated with Patrick Dempsey in January to release an eyewear collection.
